Winding down the week.

And so another week has past. Thursday was Ionas birthday party in our flat - the very atmosheric with our desk lamps in the corridors, then we went to Art School which was MESSY MESSY MESSY!  Because I am a silly silly girl and not to be trusted I drank too much and had a crappy hangover on friday, not good for my first duty!

Anyway yes, first duty on friday, so Cheesy Pop. It was pretty interesting and refreshing being sober at Cheesy! also made me realise how LOUD and generally annoying we are when drunk! This guy spewed in Qudos so that was my first sick clearing up, such a shame - this girl slipped and fell in it! bad times. There was a surprise party upstairs for a friend, though afterwards me and Alison had to clean up all the streamers and general party mess...

And didnt get round to going home till about half five, as we stayed in the board flat for chat after my duty. On saturday we went to Ailies 80's themed party, so we went all dressed up like legwarmed retards, and it was in a bowling club so OLD SCHOOL stylee. I was totally mesmerised by the bowling president board for some reason, just so interesting to think of all those men through the ages doing the same job. Also transfixed by Ailies Mum and various old people dancing! Again don't know why, maybe just the issue I have with aging and oldness etc, we will all be there eventually. We had an early little night, when we got back we watched movies in Shon's kitchen on the bed that is now in there, eating banoffee pie and painting pictures! Aren't we cute. I painted rach a picture of a Monkey family, little joke there.

Today was gym time, a short visit to the library where I pretended to do French and discussed Fruititarianism with a friend in the midst of an email argument about it. My opinion on such craziness is very blunt, stupidest thing anyone could do with their life. Plants do not feel pain FOR CHRISTS SAKE. Apparently they feel 'discomfort'. Yeeeeeah get a life.

Anyway then it was Ketchup time, saw a friend I hadnt seen in ages, Libby, and had the messiest garden burger. Very YUM though. Then we went to Cineworld (tallest cinema in the world- my useless bit of trivia!) and saw My Bloody Valentine, in 3D! was soooooo Ick, had all the obligatory 3D things such as the bullet, the gun, the bits of random crap flying at you. And I ate my weight in sweets, fake chocolate is my crack! Pigs, Mice, Skulls, Icecream cones, Spinning tops etc etc. I know fine well they are basically sugar and vegetable fat, this won't stop me. Movie time just isn't the same without crap chocolate! Anyway lets see what next week brings us, hopefully something wonderful!

Crazy like a chicken or crazy like a Witch?

Dalek cake and SLEAZY Pop

Today was a lot of fun for me and it left me feeling fulfilled! Hells yeah. Yesterday (meaning monday) was a little bit shit because I was feeling the effects of my old lady hangovers which I seem to be getting more often. They are now the type that leave me feeling like a fractious little flower, bed being my one and only. But by midday today I had shaken it off and started feeling much much better. My prevention tactics for a hangover tomorrow was I drank a load of water when I got in and I ate a iece of bread, apparently this soakes up your hangover? Fingers crossed. Anyway today I had a french class, Sociology which was retty damn good, as the lecturer really knows his stuff. Then I came home and did a little bit mre cleaning of the room...It is getting there! My bed is freshly made, which makes me a lot happier.

Then I hopped down to the events meeting, we discussed Valentines Day Cheesy - which will be themed as SLEAZY pop! SUch a good idea, and you will be able to get married! By Elvis. And wedding photos! Also discussed 10 hour, cant wait! My plan was to mosey on down to the library for some busy work but this concievably fell through, I did study a little bit in the QM study room and the board flat so it wasn't a total loss. Rev was SO good, there was cake, guitar hero and cider - oh my! Also TUNES, banter, crazy sex talk, finding Dazed and Confused on video, Nachos, shiimmy shimmy dancing etc etc. Lots more but my brain is fogged u with all sorts of drink, including Jager AARGH!

A perfect end to the night - my and andy found a Lidls trolley on the murano bridge, so we carried it up and he steered me home! So much fun! And the other ace thing is that the only uni based thing I have tomorrow is Philosohy at 2, therefore LIE-IN! Oh yeeeeeah.

This week/Refreshers/RIP IT UP week has been epic, but propler uni calls. I am here for a reason after all, and that reason is TO LEARN. so learn I shall. Try my very best anyway...

Cigarettes and Hot Chocolate

Yes, we went to Cheesy Pop tonight. It wasn't in the cards, but it happened all right. and it was generally ACE. Though I am slightly very drunk. And as usual I am very pissed at a detail of my night.

I hugged a stranger today, it was outside the library and she was crying. She was having troubles with her boyfriend, I just cant stand to hear people c rying with no comfort. Just to keep me updated, on Wednesday I went to O'Couture which was ACE, on thursday I went to the Mighty Boosh which was double ace, but I was feeling very very hunngover. Tonight was good. Tomorrow I have board training and lots of parties. We played ring of fire before Cheesy-IN MY PANTS!! haha good times.

The morning after

I hate the word Flabbergasted. And I love the word Lollygagging. That is all.

Dreamboats & Petticoats

Today was relitavely good. And I am proud of keeping up my blogging commitment as I am relitavely WASTED. French language class was shit, just reminded me of how little I know, Sociology was interesting - our lecturer was reviewing our knowledge on Durkheim and Marx etc. The most important fact that I learned today is that I bode well with Hair of Dog! This was previously undiscovered, as usually when hungover I can't even look a drink in the face, but today when I ventured to the Uisthe Beathe pub I wisely ordered a cider and blackcurrant, after the first couple sips I felt so much better! Funny that. Rev was epic, lot of drunken fun times, little bit of crazy dancing and lots of laughs. Was a GOOD night.

First Days and drink the nights doooown

So I VOWED I would blog. And here I am! Even though I desperately want to go to bed and am still slightly drunk. Ah well.

As everyones first day back should be eventful, mine wasn't too shabby! I had been ULTIMATE pranked, as I am too silly/trusting, I had left my door unlocked - I opened it to find everything gone. EVERYTHING. my bed had been stripped, mirror taken etc etc. As I have yet to pay my December rent (shhh) I immediately jumped to the conclusion that I had been EVICTED with all my stuff impounded or something! Turned out two of my flatmates had far too much spare time on their hands and had taken everything and put it in our cupboards, even HOOVERED the floor! haha I was so glad I wasn't getting kicked out that I failed to get mad! It was actually really clean...

Anyhow the day also involved my first two lectures, my first trip back to the gym - STUPIDLY happy about that, oh how I missed my crosstrainer/crap daytime tv concoction. Something happened there which gave me a lovely feeling. Before the christmas break I remember seeing this really large woman working out, and feeling a mixture of total respect and sadness for her, because she was unfortunately big. Anyway today the same woman was in the gym, and although she is still large, she has lost a LOT of weight! Just shows what we can do when we put our minds to it. Totally put my annoyance over my christmas pounds into perspective. It made me smile....

Also I WAS going to do busy work at the library, but I ran into a friend just as I was entering the building and somehow ended up having cocktails in Radio! Hmmmm, funny that...

Then I went to my first Board meeting, went on for ageeeees and I suddenly felt a wave of tiredness in it, owing to the fact that I had zero sleep the night before. After that followed a long night of boooooozing dans Jim's, Just what I wanted! Cider and Blackcurrant :D Lots of slightly drunken fun and rambles, also so so nice to get back in the swing of hanging out with my gorgeous glasgow buddies! I missed them all so much. Then we went back and found another friend who had just gotten back, cue more drinking and general silliness! And I found some unexpected money in the cupboard my charming flatmates had stuffed my room into! hahaha all in all a fairly awesome day! Oh this blogging malarky should be all good, will help me sleep better! Tomorrow is REV! mega times shall be had! but boo, I have homework for my french class at 11 :(. Gaah so should get up at...8! Bad times.....

Operation Making A Memory

I am setting a challenge for myself. This is to run in conjunction with my New Years resolution to blog more - hasn't really gotten off to a good start, my excuse is that nothing interesting has happened, what with me still being at HOME. Anyway, I will be back to fun times tomorrow, getting the train bright and early back to beautiful Glasgow, it's a new term, my hair is different and I am ready to RIP IT UP! Little joke there. I always come up with the crappest/oldest phrases...

Anyway my challenge is to blog every day. Now it doesn't have to be a massive account of the day's events, because that will just fall straight on its ass. It could be a little snippet of something, a great song I heard, a new drink I tried, something funny somebody said, or a drunken jumble - ANYTHING really, just something that captures the feel of the day. So, over time, I have a collection of memories of uni. It's going scarily fast! Also am going to take a stupid amount of photos, and going to get everyone to buy a disposable camera and take more photos for our kitchen. At the moment we have a little collage of freshers week, I brought two disposables for that first week and I think we should keep the tradition alive.

Remember to open your mind to anything and everything! (Well, within reason...)
